Conversations at the Forum explore urban challenges and solutions through the lenses of equity, governance, and resilience.

One of the signature events of the Council is the Pritzker Forum on Global Cities, which convenes global leaders in business, civics, education, and the arts for a cross-sector dialogue on the influential role cities play in addressing critical global challenges, such as climate change, migration, and the COVID-19 pandemic. The Center on Global Cities contributes research, analysis, commentary, workshops, and other products that examine the policies cities need to be successful, identifies global best practices, connects leaders across geography and sectors, and provides actionable recommendations to decision-makers. This includes examining the role of cities as actors and places in global governance, understanding the role of key stakeholders in shaping urban affairs, and exploring how arts and culture define and enrich global cities.

The Chicago Council on Global Affairs drives dialogue on the rise and influence of global cities and how they shape our political, social, and economic lives.
